Our handmade Vertically Quilted Stockings have two layers of batting, high quality machine stitching, and are made with highly durable fabric. These light, comfortable, and durable stockings are perfect for wearing under armor and are fastened with laces.

Responding to customer feedback, we have added the option of one layer of padded stuffing instead of our traditional two. Under-armor padding should not be too thick as it can create mobility issues and plays a key role in thermoregulation during training and fights.

You can complete your Stockings Quilted Vertically with the same style Vertically Quilted Gambeson or Quilted Vertically Gambeson type-2.

    Perfection. Ties by the ankle to snug it up if you want. Great for soft kit and full contact. Didn’t even notice my legs getting hit. Recommend using a tool to help with greaves if you get two layer like I did. They can tend to be difficult to close armor in but it’s well worth the padding. I tuck mine into the my boots which really snugs everything just right. If you wear your arming belt high I do recommend getting suspenders as these will pull on your arming belt as you move. When tying them it can take a few ties while bending, squating, and kicking to get them to sit just right. But it’s great coverage and keeps everything tight. My knees can be a little troubled but I have no hesitations when wearing these.

    I got exactly what I ordered. A size large, all black, 1 layer. They have performed perfectly and have yet to show any signs of wear after 50+ armored combat fights (IMCF rules) and multiple runs through the washing machine.

    These gambeson legs are perfect. Just as simple as that. They give great padding and do not hinder movement. You just have to make sure you have a way of binding them up to a belt. Over all, great product!

    I bought myself single layer versions and they not only fit perfect but the padding is dense enough that it adds adequate protection against even pole arm blows while wearing plate armor! I definitely suggest single layer and a snug fit for combat!
