Sugar Loaf Helm
The sugarloaf helm is a stylization of the late XIV century top helm. The skull has a conical shape with the peak moved back which lends the helm its name due to its resemblance to the form of conical refined white sugar, the sugar loaf. The visor is equipped with the breathing holes and the triangular elongated eye slots provide good visibility. Additionally, you will find a spring button just above the visor which locks it in place, eliminating the possibility for accidents due to a visor flying open unexpectedly. Simply depress the button to allow the visor to open, giving you better breathability between bouts. Our Sugarloaf Helm is decorated with a steel cross which has lily-shaped ends. Chin straps are standard in our Sugarloaf Helm and we can forge it from mild steel, tempered steel, stainless steel, or titanium. Our Sugarloaf provides excellent protection and is a great choice for both staying safe and looking intimidating during full-contact combat.
