Corazzina type-3 multicolor
The word “brigandine” first appeared in Italy in the second part of the XIV century. For example, in the archive of Francesco Datini from Prato, there’s a description from the year 1367 with notes about a “Corazzine Brigandine”. In Medieval England, the word “brigandine” was used for the first time in 1397 in a description of armors belonging to Thomas of Woodstock, Duke of Gloucester. Following not only the tradition of finely crafted and highly protective armor, but also the fashions of brigandines of the time, we present to you an exquisite piece of armor that you can customize to your liking.
Our Corazzina Type-3 can be made in a custom 1/2 or 1/4 color design. You can choose between suede leather or wool for the shell covering and we have a variety of colors available.
Please refer to the illustrations below when selecting your color pattern. The different sections of our Corazzina Type-3 are marked with “color A” and “color B”. In the options below, please select your preferred pattern and then choose your colors based on where you would like them placed on the brigandine. Additionally, our Corazzina Type-3 Brigandine can be crafted from a selection of steels (mild, tempered, or stainless), or for a lightweight (yet just as protective) option, your future Corazzina Type-3 can be made using titanium.
Please note that measurements should be with padding/gambeson.
