Churburg Style Leg Set
Nearly all commonly used elements of medieval armor (protection for the head, arms, torso, and legs) were designed by the first half of the XIV century. Only a few “new” details and elements were added during the last half of that century. By the XV century, armor had evolved to become what we know as “full plate white armor”.
Our Churburg Style Leg Set consists of articulated Churburg Style Legs and Greaves. The leg harness has a reinforcing central rib. There are holes on the bottom segment of the leg harness and a button pin on the greaves. Thanks to this construction, the two parts of the leg set join securely. Additionally, we drill holes at different heights so you can choose the position that suits you the best. If you prefer your Churburg Style Leg Set made without connective elements, you can select that option upon placing your order. This armor set is equipped with durable leather straps and steel buckles. Thick leather arming points are on the top of the cuisses so that the leg armor may be attached to an arming belt.
You can complete this leg harness with sabatons of your choice:
We also offer other protective pieces inspired by the historical armor found in Churburg Castle
The Churburg Style Leg Set can be used for reenactment and historical medieval battle.
Please note that measurements should be with padding/gambeson.
