Plate Spine Protection
Additional protection for the spine. Developed for those who engaged in the full contact medieval combat sport. The steel rondel on the back of aventail can be not enough. That’s why you’ll need the plate spine protection for buhurt.
It consists of the curved neck plate and six segments. Each segment is overlapped by another one. Assembled horizontal plates make the triangular design spine protection. They are lightly forged to underline the anatomical shape of the back. Thanks to the leather segment spine protection is flexible. It can be fixed to the gambeson. There are four pieces of durable leather riveted to the metal plates: two on the upper sides, one long on the edge of the neck segment and one on the center of two bottom plates. Fastenings have holes on the edges, so you can sew plate neck protection to your padded gambeson.
This plate armor can be made from 1.0mm titanium, 1.0mm stainless steel or 1.0mm tempered steel. It’s one-size-fits-all so be sure to choose the standard size option.
