Corazzina type-2
Corazzina type-2
ID: 12102
Usually, brigantine was made of small plates. However, small plates were kept impact badly, and since the small-plate brigantine supplanted usual, the plates were again enlarged, making the former bigger, but better fitting to body. A characteristic feature of a big-plate brigantine, in addition to large plates, was a skirt of laminar structures, that was absent in small-plated Brigantine. In later versions such a brigantine is in fact a cuirass, but covered with cloth.
The plates of this brigantine are made of cold rolled steel with a thickness of 1.5 mm. Types of covering: fabric (basis – tarpaulin, covering – 100% wool) or leather.
Please notice, that measurements should be with padding/gambeson.
