Lamellar Armor with Shoulders
Lamellar armor originally came from the East and was primarily used in Eastern Europe. In Scandinavia, lamellar armor was widespread from the Viking Age (793 – 1066) until the second half of the 14th century.
Our set of Lamellar Armor with Shoulders includes torso protection and a pair of pauldrons. It is made from metal plates with dimensions of 100 x 28 mm. Each row of scales is overlapped by the next. This arrangement of scales makes lamellar armor flexible while retaining highly protective qualities. Both the torso protection and pauldrons are trimmed with high quality leather, giving the armor clean and stylish lines.
Plates for the lamellar set can be made from mild steel, tempered steel, stainless steel, or if you want an incredibly lightweight set, titanium is available. Our Lamellar Armor with Shoulders has two thickness options: 1.0mm and 1.5mm.
If you don’t require a full set, you can order our Birka Lamellar Armor or our Lamellar Pauldrons separately.
Please note, that measurements should be with padding/gambeson.
