This model of leg armor is based on medieval plate legs typical for the late XIV and early XV centuries. As armor evolved, leg protection changed from its early forms to functional, articulated plate armor. The most essential part thereof is the hip plate. It’s made from one metal sheet and forged to conform to the shape of the thigh. The upper part of the thigh protection is longer in order to cover the hip bone and tapers at the bottom to fit the articulated knee cap.

Your leg harness is a vital part of your armor kit. It should be functional, light, articulated, comfortable and attractive as well. A hard pro-fight requires top quality leg armor. So, we decided to create the Profight Leg Harness based off of our steel plate legs. We spent a lot of time improving the metal patterns and we achieved the result that we were looking for: leg armor that meets the needs and standards of experienced pros.

This model of armored legs gives you maximum protection when you’re engaged in medieval combat. Your upper leg is completely covered all around. With the big front thigh plate, back hip plate, knee cap, articulated steel segments, and lower under-knee plate you can rest easy knowing that you’re completely protected. Each poleyn that is equipped with a fan plate that protects the inner side of knee.
The upper edge of leg harness follows the shape of the thigh which allows for very good mobility. The leg harness is equipped with leather arming points on the top. Whether you use a simple leather belt or an arming belt, you can be confident that the weight of the armor is correctly balanced. Three pairs of leather straps with steel buckles allow to adjust your armor to achieve maximum safety and comfort.

Our Profight Leg Harness can be completed with the lower part for your choice. We suggest Greaves, Front Greaves, Brigandine Greaves, or Three Plate Greaves. You can order it in a standard size pr to be according to your personal measurements. The base metal for our Profight Leg Harness is mild steel which can be upgraded to stainless steel, tempered steel, or titanium.

Please note that measurements should be with padding/gambeson.
